About
Philip is a Los Angeles-based commercial and editorial photographer specializing in all things culinary. Prior to picking up a camera he worked extensively in the restaurant industry, including the acclaimed Eleven Madison Park in New York. He possesses a deep understanding of the restaurant/food industry & culture, and is passionate about great food experiences and the people who work to provide them!
He loves collaborating with a team of creatives, and has experience working with food & prop stylists, creative directors, brand managers, chefs, as well as directing models. He possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise to help execute a successful shoot-from consulting on strategy and messaging, assembling the right team for a project, various lighting, styling, and composition techniques, to obsessing over the details of an image to make it perfect.
He also worked for many years as an actor-particularly drawn to classical theater. His current photography practice is heavily influenced by his earlier storytelling exploits on stage. He enjoys a wide range of freelance clients.
